GENERAL INFORMATION
It is important that the footwear selected for wear must be suitable for the protection required and the wear environment. Where an environment is not known, it is very important that consultation is carried out between the seller and the purchaser to ensure, where possible, that the correct footwear is provided. If the footwear is cared for and worn in the correct working environment and stored in dry ventilated conditions, it should give a good wear life, without premature failure of the outsole, upper and upper stitching. The actual wear life for the footwear is dependent on the type of footwear relative to environmental conditions which can affect the wear, contamination and degradation of the product. Footwear fitted with safety/protective toe caps may be damaged during an impact or compression type accident. However this damage, owing to the nature of the cap, may not be readily apparent. You should therefore replace (and preferably destroy) your footwear if the toe region has been severely impacted or compressed, even if it appears undamaged.

PRODUCT CARE: To ensure the best service and wear from the product, it is important that the footwear is regularly cleaned and treated with a good quality cleaning treatment. Do not use any caustic cleaning agents. Suede: Naturally dry, then remove debris or mud and use a stiff suede brush and a proprietary cleaning product.

Leather: Regular polishing will keep your footwear in great condition and help maintain its natural protective properties
Storage: When not in use, store your footwear in a well ventilated area away from extremes of temperature. Never store footwear underneath heavy items or in contact with sharp objects. If the footwear is wet, allow it to dry slowly and naturally away from direct heat sources before placing it into storage. Use suitable protective packaging to transport the footwear e.g. the original box.
Repair: If the footwear becomes damaged, it will not provide the optimum level of protection, and therefore should be replaced as soon as possible. Never knowingly wear damaged footwear whilst carrying out a risk related activity. If in doubt about the level of damage consult your supplier before using the footwear.
Insock/Footbed: At time of purchase if the product includes an insock this should not be removed. If renewal is required this should only be done with respect to the use of a substitute insock supplied. The removal of such footbed can affect the protective properties of the footwear. Hence if the product does not include an insock, placing one might also affect the protective properties of the footwear. Please contact with the supplier for further details and quote the product reference, as different products include different insock or footbed to suit the category of production.
